In the Yucatan peninsula, Phaseolus lunatus L., or ib (ibes in plural) -as they are known in the Mayan language -bloom as a testament to the poetry written in the soil, where each seed tells a story, and every color holds the essence of a cultural legacy.

Unfolding in a ballet between domesticated varieties and their wild relatives, the exchange process promotes the increase in diversity, the development of new characters and the evolution of new species.
